​The British authorities will spend $64 million for strengthening of cyber security of health service

The authorities of Great Britain will spend in addition 50 million pounds sterling (64 million US dollars) for safety of computer systems of National health service (NHS). The Minister of Defence of the United Kingdom Michael Fallon reported about it on air of the Air Force.

"We allocated 1,9 billion pounds better to protect us from cyber attacks. We will spend about 50 million pounds for the NHS cybersystems to strengthen their safety", - he told.

The appreciable number of computers suffered from the attack by the WannaCry virus blocker (Wanna Decryptor) on Friday, May 12, worldwide. In particular, information systems 48 of NHS branches, including hospitals, out-patient departments and funds of health care were struck that led to cancellation of reception in medical institutions of ambulatories, disturbances in work of service of ambulance and to failure in carrying out the planned surgeries, are reminded by TASS.

The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation reported about successful reflection of the hacker attacks to the computers.
